Jesus, thank You for bearing the pain and isolation of the Garden of Gethsemane and the cross for us. Thank You for giving us a way to live in communion with the Father.

Dear God, give me a desire to grow spiritually. I want to honor You with my life and experience the joy of the Spirit's work inside of me.

Gloria teaches me about having a thankful heart. Despite her many limitations, she's thankful for the smallest of things- sunsets, helpfur family and neighbors, quiet moments with God, the ability to remain in her own apartment.

Do you ever wonder why God has allowed suffering in your life: Instead of answering that specifie question, God may satisfy you with His nearness today and remind you that you can rely on His strength when you feel weak. ...... "The Lord Is Peace"  There is peace in knowing that whatever we do and wherever we go, we go with God who promised never to leave or forsake His followers.

What coul be better than getting answers to our why questions? Trusting a good and powerful God.

...... before it was tiome to leave each day. They would gather around Mom, and she would pray for each one by name , asking for the Lord's blessing on their day. Then she'd give them a idss and off they'd run. Even neighborhood kids would be included in the prayer circle if they happened to stop by. one of the children said many years later that she learned from this experience how crucial prayer is to her day.

Heavenly Father, this life can be so hard and painful. But You! ...... Your are right there with us, loving us, keeping us, holding u! And You promise never to leave us or forsake us.
